The Belmond Andean Explorer train trip is truly something special. It is a 3-day train journey that begins in Cusco and ends in Arequipa. The train is co-owned by the luxury Belmond Hotel group and the Peru Rail. The train was built in Queensland, Australia.

Passengers are treated with in house entertainment, with musicians and dancers present on the Cusco station platform along with refreshments. The train travels on a special dedicated line with a speed sign from 60 to 85mpm. It is all first class, sleeper train with 22 carriages including two dining carriages, a Piano Bar carriage, a Galley Carriage and an Observation Deck at the back of the train.
